School Choice

California public schools were once top in the nation; now, they are among the worst. The children in California schools are daily stripped of their right to a quality education. Public school children have been harmed possibly irreparably because of unconstitutional mandates and harmful school closures. California public school children are struggling to catch up in basic math and English. Public schools are teaching divisive and politically charged issues like critical race theory which puts people into victim/oppressor status. Children are being allowed to choose how they identify, including identifying as a different gender and as an animal and are being allowed to behave as they choose within the classroom. As a mom of adult children, I believe parents deserve to know what and how their children are being taught. I was on the front line for school choice in 2022, and I will make school choice one of my top priorities when elected to congress.
